Tefuye Ancient Trail. Tefuye Ancient Trail, formerly known as Shuishan Ancient Trail, was originally a hunting path opened by the Tsou people in their early years, and was also used for marriage, visiting relatives, or engaging in warfare with other tribes. During the Japanese colonial period, the latter part of the ancient trail was rebuilt into the "Shuishan Line" railway for transporting timber. Tefuye Ancient Trail has two entrances: one is from Zizhong, at the border of Alishan Township and Xinyi Township, and the other can be accessed from the Tefuye community in Alishan.
