Due to the uneven cementation between the pebbles, it is easily eroded by rainwater, exposing the rock. From a distance, the dozens of towering peaks resemble Arhats in various poses and expressions, hence its name and the moniker "Little Guilin of Taiwan." Common special landforms in this area include isolated peaks, half-mountains, steep cliffs, U-shaped valleys, canyons, meandering rivers, dendritic drainage systems, and dry riverbeds, making it a rare natural geography classroom.
