Wanshan Tribe. Wanshan Tribe is located on Provincial Highway 132 in Maolin District. After passing the Maolin District Office for about 7 kilometers, you will reach the entrance of Wanshan Tribe. During the Japanese colonial period, Wanshan Village was called. Wanshan Tribe is located on Provincial Highway 132 in Maolin District. After passing the Maolin District Office for about 7 kilometers, you will reach the entrance of Wanshan Tribe. During the Japanese colonial period, Wanshan Village was called "Mandaulan" community. The original settlement was located at the foot of Mount Wantou Lan at an altitude of 1475 meters, which the tribe called "'Oponoho". Old Wanshan still retains a complete slate house settlement and holds the mysterious Wanshan rock carvings, "The Mysterious Love Story of Gubacha'e". Due to the steep roads, the village was collectively relocated to the current settlement in 1956.
