The Baishawan Visitor Center (Baishawan Nature Center), located on the North Coast, serves as the core base for environmental education and marine conservation promoted by the North Coast and Guanyinshan National Scenic Area Administration (NCGSA) of the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications. As an "Environmental Education Facility" certified by the Ministry of Environment, it is not just a recreational spot but also a learning space that integrates nature, ecology, and culture. The center offers diverse environmental education courses tailored to different age groups, such as the "Ocean 'Clean' Journey" for marine conservation and beach cleanup experiences, and "Peeking into the World in the Sand" to explore the geological mysteries of the Datun Volcano Group. It also incorporates local fishing culture, like "stone weirs," allowing the public to better understand the natural and cultural characteristics of the North Coast. The interior has also been fully upgraded, featuring multiple interactive exhibits and a "9K Panoramic Theater." It combines a topographical map of the North Coast, intertidal zone ecological displays, and a projection-interactive "Lao Mei Green Reef" installation. Visitors can also follow "Queen Baby" to explore attractions along the coast, making the visit more lively, engaging, and easy to understand.
