Adjacent to Fulong Beach, with its striking red-tiled roof and white walls, this is the Fulong Visitor Center. It would be a shame to just pass by or pick up a brochure, as it's not only a place for travel consultations but also a vibrant and rich space for art exhibitions. The visitor center showcases and explains various information about the natural ecology, historical sites, and tourist attractions of the Northeast and Yilan Coast National Scenic Area, featuring well-planned and diverse exhibition areas. The experience zone offers many interactive installations and virtual reality, allowing visitors to preview the Northeast and Yilan Coast. What's even more noteworthy is the "Driftwood Rebirth Wood Carving Exhibition Hall." Most of the works in the hall are carved from precious woods like red cypress and camphor. These are native tree species that were washed ashore on the Northeast and Yilan Coast by typhoons. After being collected by the management office, they were entrusted to wood carving masters from Sanyi to be sculpted, giving the driftwood new life and artistic value, and faithfully embodying the spirit of natural environmental regeneration. This combines tourism and art, creating a unique cultural tourism asset for the Northeast and Yilan Coast. There are also many shops around the visitor center and the train station that offer bicycle rentals. On any sunny day throughout the year, you can enjoy a leisurely and relaxed cycling trip. When you visit Fulong next time, don't forget to step into the visitor center for a look, making your entire trip more intellectual and enriching!
