If you want to play in the sand and waves, cool off in the water during the hot summer, or leisurely admire the Pacific Ocean and Guishan Island, Yongzhen Coastal Recreation Area can satisfy all your desires at once! Ascend the slope next to Yongzhen Temple for about three to four minutes to reach the park. The vast sea views and continuous sandy beaches are the main attractions for visitors of all ages. There are boardwalks and viewing pavilions for distant views of Guishan Island, making it an excellent spot to witness the "Guishan Sunrise" during the summer solstice, featuring the rare sight of the sun rising behind the island's head. Many photography enthusiasts come here to capture this spectacle. The coastal plants in the recreation area serve to prevent wind erosion and stabilize sand, often forming green dunes in the summer. Located between the mouths of the Lanyang River and Zhuan River, it is a naturally gifted habitat for birds. Therefore, visiting here offers not only opportunities for playing in the water, watching waves, and admiring the beauty of Guishan Island, but also a chance to experience the vibrant plant life and bird colonies, allowing you to personally feel the pulse of nature. In addition to coastal recreation and natural ecology, this area also holds local cultural charm worth exploring. The adjacent Yongzhen Temple has a long history and remains a popular place of worship today, primarily dedicated to Kai Zhang Sheng Wang. Every year on the 15th day of the second lunar month, the birthday of Kai Zhang Sheng Wang, traditional folk activities such as fire-walking ceremonies are held, attracting numerous pilgrims and creating a grand spectacle.
