Walking along the cliffside trail, with the azure ocean on one side and verdant mountains on the other, evokes deep emotion and awe at the picturesque beauty. The name 'Longdong' (Dragon Cave) originates from the curved coastal rocks resembling a coiled dragon. The Bay Cape Trail connects two major capes in the Northeast Coast National Scenic Area, linking the 6-million-year-old geological story of Bitou Cape with the 35-million-year-old story of Longdong Cape. You will feel a sense of reverence for nature and marvel at the spectacle created by the intertwining of time and space. The trail begins at Xiling Temple, and within minutes, you'll reach a viewing platform offering panoramic views of the sea, the sound of waves, and unique rock formations. From this vantage point, you can clearly see the magnificent seascape and rugged cliffs. You might even spot people fully equipped and climbing the rock faces by the shore; this is the renowned Longdong rock climbing area, attracting climbers from Taiwan and abroad who seek a challenge. In just 2-3 hours, a walk here feels like traversing millennia. Besides experiencing the power of time and geological movement, the hike offers physical and mental rejuvenation, and the spectacular interplay of mountains and sea will leave you wanting more. Visit when you have the chance to witness this ancient and rugged geological wonder that transcends time and space. [A small reminder] The trail starts at Xiling Temple, north of Longdong Four Seasons Bay, and connects all the way to Longdong Bay Ocean Park. From Longdong
