Since its establishment in the 1836 (16th year of the Daoguang reign), Dali Tiangong Temple has undergone several renovations. The exterior features soaring pavilions, while the interior is adorned with golden and jade-colored carvings and painted beams. The ninth day of the first lunar month is the local festival day, attracting a continuous stream of worshippers from all over. The "Dali Tide Watching" here was once listed as one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Lanyang." After praying for blessings, one can gaze at Guishan Island from the temple's upper floors. On clear days, the blue sea and sky complement each other; during rain, one can see many pavilions shrouded in mist and rain, with a hazy atmosphere. Especially during the northeast monsoon season, the waves along the coast are turbulent and magnificent, adding to the solemn and majestic aura.
