Love to surf and challenge yourself, enjoy the thrill of riding the waves, or want to feast on seafood and taste the freshness of just-caught delicacies? Come to Wushi Harbor! The name "Wushi" originates from the large black reef within the harbor. This fishing port, located in the small town of Toucheng, not only serves traditional fishing functions but also holds significant historical and cultural meaning. It was once the largest harbor in Lanyang and an important gateway to Toucheng, through which many merchants and various daily necessities entered and exited. "Shigang Chunfan" (Stone Harbor Spring Sails) describes the bustling scene of merchant ships gathered and vessels coming and going incessantly. Later, a flood in 1878 caused heavy siltation, and in 1883, an American ship ran aground here, causing Wushi Harbor to lose its function and gradually decline, which also affected the prosperity of Toucheng at that time. After the harbor was rebuilt in 1991, Wushi Harbor has transformed into the beloved tourist and leisure fishing port it is today. The old Wushi Harbor site has been designated as a protected wetland. The harbor also features a tourist fish market, the "Wushi Fishing Harbor Direct Sales Center," and a yacht harbor. You can enjoy delicious seafood while admiring the beautiful scenery of ships in the harbor, a truly maritime experience! Wushi Harbor not only captures the hearts of many gourmands but is also a surfer's paradise! The flat, wide beach and extensive surfing areas attract many skilled surfers on holidays, chasing the waves.
