You can observe the elegant sight of waterbirds foraging and the beautiful scenery of layered mountains reflected on the water's surface. It is a hidden gem for birdwatching and sightseeing. However, in recent years, the ecosystem has been altered, and the bird population is not as abundant as before, prompting reflection on the importance of cherishing nature. In addition to birdwatching and enjoying the scenery, the sandy shores of Zhu'an Creek Estuary also offer a glimpse of Yilan's traditional folk activity – "Qiang Gu" (net pulling). "Qiang Gu" is a practice where, during fish runs, fishermen use rafts to pull a fishing net around the coast to encircle schools of fish. Then, people on the shore work together to pull the ropes and haul the catch ashore. Everyone who participates in "Qiang Gu" gets to share in the catch. Furthermore, this is also a great spot for watching the sunrise.
