Nestled by the mountains and water, adjacent to Nanfang'ao Jinan Temple, is a green building that houses the Nanfang'ao Visitor Center. The two-story building showcases local characteristics through various elements of fishing villages and fishing culture. The exhibition content primarily provides information on the natural ecology, marine culture, recreational attractions of the Northeast Coast and Yilan Coast, as well as tourism information for the Su-ao and Nanfang'ao areas. This allows visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the wetland ecology, fishing village culture, cold springs, and seafood delicacies, experiencing the beauty and charm of Yilan. The Nanfang'ao Visitor Center is a humanistic space that integrates with the environment and utilizes natural resources. In addition to using wind power generation and rainwater harvesting systems, all the surrounding transom windows are fully opened to achieve natural ventilation and excellent lighting. The visitor center is bright and airy, with a sense of transparency, and the beautiful scenery outside the windows further blends the visitor center with the coastal landscape. While visiting, you can also smell the faint scent of the sea and fish, which is the most authentic taste of Nanfang'ao!
