The museum has twice received special recognition for the management and maintenance of historic buildings and monuments in 2015 and 2021, as well as excellent evaluations for the management and maintenance of historic buildings, monuments, and memorial buildings. The reason for the award in 2021: Yuangu Shop is a private shop house built during the Japanese colonial era. Under the careful management and maintenance of its owner, it has become a unique space for the reuse of old houses. The restoration method of the Yuangu Shop building respects the original materials and structural characteristics of the old building, presenting a special spatial aesthetic through restoration and preservation, which highlights the value of cultural assets. The "Ageless Artisans Lecture Series" and the publication "Ageless Artisans: A Gaze Through the Lens" introduce local artisans with traditional skills, helping to pass on Taiwan's traditional craftsmanship.
