Early residents relied on coastal fishing, shaping a local landscape where "ocean, fishery, and life" were closely integrated. With changes in times, population, and industries, Qixingtan has been developed into an internationally renowned tourist attraction, with numerous recreational facilities such as guesthouses, cafes, and bicycle paths. Traditional fisheries have gradually declined, accompanied by the loss of cultural heritage, and the fishing village scenery has significantly diminished. The Reef Tour team deeply feels the urgency of this cultural gap. Since 2016, they have been deeply involved in Qixingtan, integrating the unique century-old fishery industry and culture of Qixingtan with innovative approaches to "fish-eating education" and "ocean sustainability."
