Over the 400 years since Christianity was introduced, through the efforts of our predecessors in gathering and collecting, the "Southern Assembly Historical Materials Room" was established at the former site of the New Building Hospital in the 1950s. Starting from this, various artifacts used by early missionaries, teaching tools, and baptismal records of believers were collected. After several relocations, and due to the aging and scattering of church historical materials, the "Historical Archives of the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan" was finally established in 2019 at the former site of the Taiwan Church News Agency. It is hoped that, based at the birthplace of the written ministry, more artifacts can be seen by the world through collection and research, and be preserved forever. The museum has two floors. The first floor mainly has a small exhibition area and a reading area, providing the public who wish to understand church history and culture with access for research. The second floor has a professional storage room with constant temperature and humidity, preserving artifacts in poorer condition.
