This has led to the diversity and refinement of indigo dyeing techniques, and has also opened up the simple and folk-oriented nature of indigo craft culture. Sanyi is a very typical Hakka village, and "Hakka blue shirts" were also the main colors of everyday clothing in the past. Our ancestors wore indigo-dyed clothes to go up mountains and work in fields, which could prevent snake and insect bites. Modern scientific research has also confirmed that indigo-dyed clothing has natural antibacterial properties and can prevent skin diseases. Hakka blue shirts were important clothing for our ancestors as they "braved hardships to open up the mountains and forests." Zhuo Ye is located in the mountainous area of Sanyi, which is warm, humid, and often foggy, the ideal environment for mountain indigo to grow. Therefore, developing the indigo dyeing industry here has the necessity and advantages of geographical climate, local culture, and industrial aspects. In 2004, we introduced indigo dyeing techniques into the park and established a natural dyeing workshop within the park, fully integrating the indigo dyeing production process. From planting blue grass, extracting indigo dye, managing indigo dye vats, indigo dyeing craftsmanship, to post-processing, all are incorporated into our business scope.
