Luojin Collective - Lukang Street Creative Hub. Luojin Collective: Revitalizing a Century-Old House, Lukang Youth Collaborating for Creation. Luojin Collective: Revitalizing a century-old house, Lukang youth collaborating for creation. 'Luojin' is an ancient elegant name for Lukang; 'Luo' sounds the same as 'Luk' in Taiwanese, and 'jin' means port. 'Collective' embodies the diversity and spirit of cooperation within the space. This is not limited to a single business but fosters a unique operational model through diverse, multi-functional, and multi-industry collaborations. This space is also the spatial brand of the Lukang Kids team on Lukang Street. The building was originally the Shengxing Business Firm of the Dyeing Guild, one of Lukang's Eight Guilds, symbolizing the historical inheritance of the space. In stages during 2022 and 2024, after renovations by Lukang Kids Cultural Enterprise in collaboration with the owner and utilizing relevant government soft and hard subsidies, the century-old house was reborn. In 2023, it began co-management with Skinny Cafe • Lukang Street. Attracting people with the aroma of coffee, this space offers visitors freshly roasted coffee, art exhibitions, and curated local products, creating a warm atmosphere where nostalgia and innovation blend. It allows more people to personally experience the beauty of Lukang and showcase the diverse charm of the old house. Traces of past life can still be seen within the house, including the rounded hollow in the threshold from years of passage, two wooden staircases leading to the second floor, the stairwell, the courtyard, and the existing layout, preserving the Qing Dynasty street house form of Lukang.
