The 830-ping farmhouse has a small main building footprint, with the idle open spaces left with minimal artificial embellishments, where sunflowers, lavender, and various unnamed grasses and trees grow freely. Insects are also busy, with butterflies, bees, and dragonflies flitting back and forth; this is their most comfortable and pleasant clean paradise. The rooms in the farmhouse are named after the 24 solar terms commonly referenced by farming families in ancient times: the summer rooms "Summer Solstice" and "Grain in Ear" are painted a refreshing azure blue, while the autumn rooms "Autumn Equinox" and "White Dew" are given a harvest golden yellow. The winter room "Minor Cold" and the spring room "Grain Rain" welcome you with alternating purple and pink, and the "Winter Solstice" and "Spring Equinox" rooms symbolize reunion and prosperity with red. Regardless of the solar term or room, all feature spacious floor-to-ceiling windows offering abundant natural light and scenery. Breakfast is, of course, another major highlight of Hsi-huan Farmhouse.
