It provides a light and cozy haven for travelers from around the world and Taiwan who love the ocean and nature. Travelers can wander to the coastal trails and shell sand, explore the Heping Island Park and the mountains of Jiufen and Jinguashi, and then swim back to Reef No. 15 to exhale, or simply rest anywhere in the reef-inspired structure, spending the whole day gazing at the road, the mountains, and the sea. It's said that time stands still in the mountains; perhaps it's even more liberating beneath the sea. Life is ever-changing, and so is architecture. Reefs are where fish gather to inhabit and feed. The design of Reef No. 15 is inspired by the irregular shapes of reefs. Each floor and each room features a unique structure designed by Brother Lai. From the curved glass balconies and bubble-shaped floor-to-ceiling windows to the white terrazzo, mosaic tiles inspired by indigenous totems, and interior color schemes mimicking tropical fish, every small detail is distinct, showcasing the simple dedication behind building this ocean-themed homestay. Breathe differently, and life will feel like a journey. Brother Lai, a passionate diver, is a native of Keelung. For thirty years, he has viewed the azure North Coast of Taiwan with the most authentic gaze, from fish to water, from mountains to sea, from currents to tides.
