Therefore, the entire estate embodies the style of Guatemala, blending romantic Latin and mysterious Mayan influences. The landscaping features a Central American rainforest, adorned with many artifacts and ornaments from Mayan ruins. Even the furniture is handmade by Mayan artisans, and the bedspreads are the most famous Mayan tapestries.
★ This romantic Latin and mysterious Mayan style can only be aptly and vividly expressed through an impressionistic approach. Gardener Lao Zhang and his son, who studied architecture, collaborated on the planning and design, using impressionistic techniques to present a natural and rustic beauty that exudes a hazy elegance. Of course, a lotus pond has also been established in the estate, reminiscent of the famous lotus pond paintings by the master of Impressionism, Monet, hence the name Monet Garden.
★ The estate is rich in natural ecology, where one can unexpectedly encounter a wide variety of lizards, stag beetles, and rhinoceros beetles. In spring and summer, dragonflies, butterflies, and Gondek's frogs return. In front of the Mayan guest rooms, a small stream from the mountain meanders into the lotus pond. The Monet lotus pond is home to five generations of koi, Chinese sturgeon, and many other creatures from the mountain stream.
