Floors 1-3 are preserved historical sites, originally the ancient residence of Taiwan's Pineapple King, Ye Jintu. The Ye residence was built in 1926 and completed in 1929. The exterior of floors 1-3 is an ancient building with red tiles and terrazzo structure, in a classical Baroque style; floors 4 and above are a new building constructed of gray granite. New and old, two seemingly conflicting elements, possess a unique beauty.
