Levels 1 to 3 are preserved historical sites, originally the ancient residence of Ye Jintu, the "Pineapple King of Taiwan." The Ye residence was built in 1926 and completed in 1929. The exterior of floors 1 to 3 is an ancient structure with red tiles and terrazzo, in a classical Baroque style. Floors 4 and above are a new building constructed with gray granite. New and old, two elements that seem to conflict, possess a unique beauty.
