Cingjing Sheep Village Homestay. We often go up the mountain. We often go up the mountain. Not to reach the summit, nor to escape anything. It's just that when the car drives into Cingjing, the clouds drift low, and the wind brushes past the car window, the rhythm of life slows down. Once, we spontaneously stopped the car by the No. 6 Livestock Trail at kilometer 10 on Provincial Highway 14A. We just wanted to get out and walk, feel the breeze. After a few minutes, we found this corner. The grassland quietly spread out, and the sunlight fell on the distant mountain range. No one spoke, but at that moment, it seemed everyone understood – this place was different from others. A year later, we passed by again. The grassland was still there, and the wind was still there. So we stayed, built a house, and slowly came up with this name. Cingjing Homestay - 'Sheep Village', not because it resembles any particular place, but because its tranquility reminded us of a small Dutch village we had once visited. There, no sound demands your attention, and no one urges you to leave. There is only the scenery, and just the right amount of time. If you are also on a journey, perhaps next time you pass by here, you don't need to rush off. Sit down, have a cup of hot tea, look at the distant mountains, feel the wind for a while, and maybe it will help you remember that some scenery can only be truly encountered when you pause.
