Wenqiao Mountain Residence. A B&B located in Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli County. In 2008, we, who love trees, planted Taiwan's native tree species on the terraced fields, such as Calocedrus formosana, Machilus thunbergii, Phoebe formosana, Machilus kusanoi, Machilus velutina, Cyclobalanopsis glauca, Keteleeria formosana, Ulmus parvifolia, Zelkova serrata, Bischofia polycarpa, Bischofia javanica, and Myrica rubra; as well as Acer serrulatum, Liquidambar formosana, and Sapindus mukorossi, which change color with the seasons; and various flowers that adapt to the local natural environment, such as cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, peach blossoms, irises, azaleas, hibiscus, lotus flowers, ginger lilies, and tung flowers. The ecological pond is full of vibrant aquatic plants, with small fish and shrimp swimming freely. The mountain forest is rich in ecology, and occasional encounters with wild rabbits, muntjacs, Crested Goshawks, and Azure-winged Magpies add to the joy of mountain living. "Wenqiao Mountain Residence" was completed in 2011. In addition to finding solace in the mountains and waters, we also wish to share this feeling and scenery with those who are destined.
