With a passionate heart, they came to Kinmen's Guningtou and fell in love with the beautiful scenery of this village by the Twin Ponds. The name 'Horseshoe Crab House' is derived from the horseshoe crab, unique to Kinmen and the only remaining species in Taiwan. The horseshoe crab is also known as 'Ma Ti' in Mandarin, which coincidentally sounds similar to 'Ma Ti' (meaning horseshoe) and can be pronounced 'Ho Chhù' in Hokkien, meaning a good house. I hope that everyone who comes here can see how poetic our living environment can be, how humanities and nature can coexist and combine, and how old houses can contain young souls, striving for a better life. The homestay is located in the northwest corner of Kinmen Island, which is entirely managed by the National Park. There are many natural attractions such as the Twin Ponds Wetland Nature Center, Beishan Seawall, Horseshoe Crab Conservation Area, and Beishan Broadcast Wall. In spring and autumn, there are large fields of wheat or sorghum, perfect for photoshoots. You can cycle along Ninghu Road, Cihu Road, and Nanshan Forest Road, with lush trees along the way, forming a typical green tunnel, making cycling relaxed and comfortable. At night, you can visit Cihu to see the night skyline of Xiamen, or relax in the homestay's courtyard, chat, and stargaze, which is very pleasant. For those interested in military history, you can explore the ancient Beishan...
