Luthel Travel. Fifty years ago, this was the once-glamorous "Provincial Capital Hotel" in Taitung's Baosang area. Through exploration on a trip, we discovered this old hotel that had been sealed for 20 years. Fifty years ago, this was the once-glamorous "Provincial Capital Hotel" in Taitung's Baosang area. Through exploration on a trip, we discovered this old hotel that had been sealed for 20 years. The central courtyard's skylight was covered, and sunlight could only peek through the remaining gaps. Thus, we opened up the skylight, allowing natural energy to be fully released. The concept of sharing at Luthel Travel began! "Luthel Travel International Youth Hostel - Taitung Branch" was formerly the "Provincial Capital Grand Hotel" in the Baosang area. It remains an old building in terms of its structure. We preserved the original main structure, opened up the skylight, allowing the building to breathe naturally and sunlight to flow through the courtyard. With the skylight, the interior spaces resonate, and sound travels more noticeably. Please keep your voices down during activities within the hostel and quietly enjoy the view of the courtyard, sharing the space with other travelers. Additionally, the Taitung city area is near the Zhihang Air Base, and different models of aircraft soar across the sky daily, their rumbling sounds having become a part of Taitung's daily life. Sometimes low, sometimes high, and if you're lucky, you might even see an airplane framed by the skylight.
