Machawu Homestay. "Machawu" means "very good" in the Paiwan language (a term of praise). "Machawu" means "very good" in the Paiwan language (a term of praise). The owner was originally a teacher who, by chance, took a beverage mixing training course. After mastering the skills, she made a cup of tea for her husband to taste one day. Her husband found it delicious and exclaimed "Machawu" to praise her! Thus, after obtaining her beverage mixing license, the owner opened a tea shop in the village named "Machawu" in the Paiwan language, offering tea drinks, snacks, coffee, and locally produced fruit juices, which were loved by the villagers of all ages. "Machawu" started as just a beverage shop. Later, realizing that her village, Sabuyaw, was a place rich in culture with beautiful scenery and abundant produce, and often received visitors from afar, the owner and her husband had the idea of opening a homestay to provide more comprehensive services. The newly completed "Machawu" Homestay is located at the foot of the Golden Needle Mountain, with mountains behind and the sea in front, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and welcoming the first rays of dawn in Eastern Taiwan every morning. The homestay's exterior is simple and refined, with rich colors, possessing a modern artistic beauty while integrating local indigenous characteristics, presenting a novel modern indigenous style. "Machawu" Homestay is a local characteristic homestay that combines agricultural culture and indigenous art, offering comfort.
