Hu-Yeh Hot Spring is located at the foot of the auspicious "Hu Tou" Mountain in Ruisui Township, Hualien County, and is renowned as the "Imperial Golden Amber Spring." In Chinese legends, Hu-Yeh (Tiger Lord) is a deity who transforms into a guardian of wealth, a protector of homes, and a patron of children. Therefore, Hu-Yeh Hot Spring was named by integrating its geographical location with the attributes of Hu-Yeh, hoping that guests who come for hot spring bathing and accommodation will receive blessings of peace, wealth, and physical and mental well-being from Hu-Yeh. Hu-Yeh Hot Spring was founded by Mr. Lin Chang-kuei in November 2001 and completed in April 2003, serving as a hot spring resort that embodies the unique humanistic and geographical characteristics of the area. Mr. Lin, a native of Ruisui, recognized the abundant and precious hot spring resources in Ruisui but also saw that the traditional hot spring bathing and accommodation facilities were insufficient to meet the demands of modern bathers. With a desire to give back to the land and his fellow villagers, he not only established a hot spring SPA with advanced facilities and built the high-quality accommodation of Hu-Yeh Hot Spring Elegant Residence, but also aimed to integrate Ruisui's local agricultural products and the original ecological landscape of Hu Tou Mountain with activities such as Xiuguluan River rafting, canola flower and golden needle flower viewing, and in-depth countryside cycling tours. This allows visitors to Hu-Yeh Hot Spring Resort to enjoy not only top-tier hot spring bathing and relaxation but also to immerse themselves in the magnificent mountain and water scenery of Ruisui and savor the local flavors.
