It covers an area of about 1.8 hectares and is composed of countless hard sandstone. It was originally an uninhabited wilderness island. In 1974, a Chinese overseas national surnamed Fan, who was traveling in Japan, passed by the area and was immediately impressed by the beautiful scenery. He vowed to invest and develop it, establishing the Green Garden Hall (now Hushan Hot Spring Hotel). In 1989, it was transferred to Chairman Li Tai-yu of Shan Tai Development Co., Ltd. It is the first hotel with a landmark characteristic in the Tai'an Hot Spring Tourist Area, and the only hotel in Taiwan operating on a small island, with official documentary records in the Tai'an Township Chronicle of Miaoli County. The river surrounds it, and it is connected to the south bank of the Wenshui River by a suspension bridge. The island is lush with flowers and trees, and the environment is tranquil. It has been in operation for nearly thirty-two years.
