It covers an area of about 1.8 hectares and is composed of countless hard sandstones. The surrounding valley has clear streams and a secluded landscape. It was originally an uninhabited wasteland. In 1974, a overseas Chinese surnamed Fan, who was traveling in Japan, passed by the area and was impressed by the beautiful scenery. He immediately vowed to invest and develop it, establishing the Green Garden Hall (now Hushan Hot Spring Resort). In 1989, it was transferred to Mr. Li Tai-yu, chairman of Shantai Development Co., Ltd. It is the first landmark hotel in the Tai'an Hot Spring Tourist Area with official documentary records in the Tai'an Township Chronicle of Miaoli County, and the only hotel in Taiwan operating on an island. The river surrounds it, and it is connected to the south bank of the Wenshui River by a suspension bridge. The island is lush with flowers and trees, and the environment is secluded. It has been in operation for nearly 32 years.
