'Shuidiao Getou Homestay' was built during the Qing Dynasty's Qianlong era. It features a double-courtyard, double-wing house layout. The structural framework of this ancient house belongs to the 'Shiyi Jia Cuo' (Eleven-Frame House) and 'Da Cuo Shen' (Main House Body) style. The front and back halls are connected by left and right wing rooms, making it a relatively large traditional residential building. 'Shuidiao Getou Homestay' faces northeast and looks southwest, with a 7.5-meter entrance courtyard in the front. It is located at the upper boundary of the Shuitou settlement (Huangcuoding). In front are the Deyue Tower Western-style buildings, Jinshui Elementary School, Shuitou Eighteen Beams, and the Grade II historic site—Huang's You Tang Residence, making it a central point for tourist attraction connections. The name 'Shuidiao Getou' for the homestay is derived from the title of a ci poem by Su Dongpo, named because it is located in the Shuitou area. It allows you to experience the wisdom and charming spatial planning of Kinmen's ancient houses. The homestay is merely a form of experience; what's more important is the filling of spiritual energy, encountering history within the ancient houses and Western-style buildings. Having walked through the years of conflict, the weathered stone slabs still appear resilient, and the mottled red bricks and tiles still shine in the sunlight after the rain. Life is worth celebrating and cherishing. Quietly share this moment with family and friends, hoping that on some future day, you will remember the beautiful feelings from Kinmen on a certain year, month, and day. This is the silent yet profound power of an ancient house homestay. You are welcome.
