This is the Shanhou Haizhu Homestay in Shanhou Folk Village, Kinmen County. Shanhou Folk Village consists of eighteen traditional Southern Fujian-style houses built during the Qing Dynasty, mainly featuring two-courtyard mansions. Master craftsmen were specially invited from Tangshan, and it took twenty-five years of meticulous work to complete, presenting a neat and exquisite appearance. The ancient houses still maintain their original appearance today and are representative of traditional Kinmen residences. Shanhou Folk Village, full of traditional beauty, is backed by Shishan Mountain and faces Dongge Bay. Every morning, as the sun rises from the sea, sunlight shines into the halls. Furthermore, as Shanhou Village was a military control area in its early days, Wuhu Mountain has become a place with rich ecological preservation. There are natural trails outside the folk village leading up to Wuhu Mountain for exploration. Nearby, there are also wetland ecosystems at the foot of the mountain, native plants and insects, abandoned military camps, and the Han She Hua Hai coastal intertidal zone, all within walking distance. You can also explore by bicycle, enjoying the breeze, which is even more pleasant. The homestay is surrounded by both mountains and the sea, so even without traveling to other attractions, you can fully enjoy the freedom of space and a sense of life. Enjoying tranquility, connecting with others, slowing down, admiring the moon and stars, and clearing your mind are the highest pleasures.
