Mr. Huang, who loves nature and collecting antiques, purchased this beautiful Hakka old house near the mountain by chance after retirement. With the intention of hosting good friends, he hung up the wooden sign named "Mountain Foot House" and started a new life of hot spring lodging in the old house. Now, Mountain Foot House is managed by the second generation of operators who love to travel – Terry and Alma. Although young, the post-70s generation operators have rich and practical ideas. They continue the spirit of collecting antiques from the previous generation and add the creativity of the new generation of backpackers to turn a new page for the Hakka old house. Mr. Huang Tairan hopes that Mountain Foot House can provide more comfortable services and gradually enter the market for foreign backpackers. Therefore, he and his wife have jointly studied interior space aesthetics and design. Combined with the antique furniture collected by Mr. Huang, they have revitalized the old house with unique ideas and a limited budget, presenting a surprisingly simple and rustic style.
