Moon Lake Old House. Moon Lake Old House B&B Introduction: Taichung City's 63rd legal B&B, located in Xinshe District. Moon Lake Old House B&B Introduction: Taichung City's 63rd legal B&B, located in Xinshe District. Xinshe is Taiwan's largest group of river terraces, inhabited by humans for thousands of years. It boasts the nearly century-old magnificent water conservancy project, the 'Baileng Canal.' The climate is cool and comfortable, nurturing Taiwan's finest shiitake mushrooms, loquats, grapes, and dancing lady orchids. The scenery is pleasant, and transportation is convenient. The flower sea festival is held annually, with attractions everywhere, making it Taichung's Yangmingshan. Moon Lake Old House B&B is situated by the Moon Lake terrace, facing Dongshi across the Dajia River. The view is expansive, with the Hengling, Yuanshui, Shaolai, and Xiaoxueshan peaks connected, presenting a picturesque panorama. At night, the sounds of insects and frogs fill the air, and the Provincial Highway 8 shines like a galaxy. It's hard to imagine that this place is only one kilometer from the bustling Xinshe district, offering the convenience of the city with the tranquility of the countryside. The owner couple, both from horticultural backgrounds, are passionate about flowers, having personally planted all the plants and trees, some nearly 30 years old. The house retains its original appearance from over forty years ago, with decorations contributed by the entire family and friends, including a sixty-year-old 'Dad's Wind Drum,' 'Mom's Dowry Dining Table,' the carrying poles used for selling vegetables back then, a younger sibling's souvenirs from traveling the world, a son's oil paintings, and a daughter's hand-drawn business cards. Every detail reflects our dedication. Old House is the most intimate B&B and the most conceptual B&B, with only three rooms accommodating 8 people, and Wi-Fi throughout the entire property.
