A brief few years of urban life made us realize the preciousness of the natural environment early on. Rooted in a deep affection for the land, we returned to our beloved Shang'an Village. We built a Tang-style folk house on the plain by the river, introduced streams into ponds, planted green pines and willows, arranged a natural garden, and rediscovered the tranquil mountain life. If life is a process of learning, then the lush plants in the courtyard are the fruits of our learning. Give nature a space, and nature will respond with abundant richness. The trunks of the poplars grow thicker year by year, the five-needle pines stretch out freely, fireflies come uninvited, the ponds are full of stream fish, and moorhens also come to settle here. We tend an organic vegetable patch, compost leftovers, and lotuses bloom in the ecological wastewater purification pond. The natural cycle of life is freely practiced here, and we enjoy it. Relax in the soothing garden, savor the leisure of emptying your mind, listen to the gentle chirping of birds, watch the branches and buds sparkle brightly. When the mountain mist drifts by, whether it's slow living or joyful living, words are forgotten here. Sharing the process of natural living makes us feel even richer.
