The first hotel opened in Tainan in 2014, followed by Yi Lan (Courtyard by Marriott Yilan) and Taichung (The Place Taichung). In 2019, it officially opened in Taipei. The hotel's interior design features 179 minimalist and stylish guest rooms, artistic public spaces, meeting rooms, and specialty restaurants, meticulously planned by the Dutch design team Mecanoo. It incorporates historical patterns such as those of the harbor, red bricks, and tea leaves to showcase the imagery of Nangang at different times. The hotel's exterior and lighting design were undertaken by renowned international masters Li Chu-yuan and Yuan Tsung-nan. The exterior's streamlined design enriches the skyline, highlighting the building's unique location and emphasizing its importance as a transportation hub. The innovative and unique dynamic lighting at night, the first in Taiwan to use a new chip operated by WIFI, collectively creates a distinctive new landmark for Nangang.
