With "Neighborhood Culture" as its brand spirit, Hotel Indigo allows travelers to experience the unique charm of the local area simply by staying at the hotel. Hotel Indigo Taipei East draws inspiration from the brick kiln culture of the Dazhi area during the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty and the Japanese colonial period, as well as the riverside life of the Keelung River. Through every corner of the building, both inside and out, it tells a story of rebirth and trend. Inspired by the golden ratio of a nautilus shell, Hotel Indigo Taipei East uses 520,000 custom-made, semi-mountain-shaped handmade kiln-fired bricks on its exterior, forming 24 radiating, progressively receding facade brick walls that create a unique three-dimensional layering and shadow effect. The interior features curved glass curtain walls and metal aluminum panels to construct an elegant curved exterior. The contrasting materials symbolize the interweaving of Dazhi's past and present, embodying the meaning of generational inheritance.
