Joy Inn strives to be "the best resting place for travelers to fulfill their dreams." Jeff, the founder of Joy Inn, holds a master's degree in management from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. He previously worked as a management executive for a publicly listed company and served as a full-time and part-time instructor at several universities of science and technology. In 2012, after watching a video by Chung Yuan Christian University students titled "Why Don't Foreign Backpackers Come to Taiwan?", he realized the importance of in-depth tourism to Taiwan's grassroots economy. Thus, he and his wife, Melody, a piano teacher, decided to create a youth hostel that would attract international backpackers and convey "the beauty of Taiwan" to the world, hoping to contribute to promoting local culture.
Jeff and Melody took back a property that was generating stable rental income and even renovated their own living floor, investing millions in the process. They also collaborated with the Department of Visual Communication Design at Chaoyang University of Technology, providing students with the opportunity to participate in the practical planning and design of the company's Corporate Identity System (CIS). This allowed young people to unleash their vibrant creativity to build a brand new life for their youth hostel. Through meticulous planning, "Joy Inn International Youth Hostel" was born.
