Not only is it named after Pier 2 of Kaohsiung Port, but it also preserves as many elements left by the warehouse over the past century as possible, such as brick walls, swinging windows, and reinforced concrete roof trusses, presenting the simple beauty of the old building rich in historical depth and traces of time. For its fifth anniversary, Pier 2 Warehouse collaborated with the MUJI RENOVATION space transformation planning team to create Taiwan's first historical building warehouse accommodation, "KW2 HOSTEL," with the concept of "a secret base for adults." Through space renovation, it aims to revitalize and enhance the "three senses and one power" – historical sense, international sense, value sense, and creativity – to drive the integrated tourism and cultural experience of the Kaohsiung Port area. It redefines "accommodation" within a historical building, allowing guests to sleep while gazing at the Kaohsiung Port sea view, enjoy a slow travel pace, and create content with interest and buzz with the concept of "more than just accommodation."
