Some suggested cutting down trees and adding a canopy, while others suggested installing a rolling shutter for easier access. However, the rebellious couple insisted on preserving the original, most beautiful exterior and the charming iron gate of Long Sunrise. They also kept two large trees that even the neighbors found incredible, along with Grandma's jasmine flowers, especially the osmanthus flowers that fill the house with fragrance. Our philosophy is that renovation is meant to allow the house to breathe, to receive more sunlight and air, and to let the house breathe naturally. The interior space is designed for a more comfortable and free living experience. We chose to renovate and completely rebuild the old bathroom facilities to improve the quality of life for our guests. During the renovation process, we noticed that the 50-year-old British antique furniture was surprisingly well-preserved and charming. The joinery at the time, combined with beautiful solid wood that had been refined by the years, retained its charm. The couple decided to keep the precious British antique furniture. Considering their daughter, who represents the new generation, they chose a fusion approach, like the perfect balance of strength and gentleness. Thus, Long Sunrise was born, preserving the osmanthus and red cypress trees in the courtyard, allowing the wind to blow in and the house to breathe with fragrance.
