We welcome every traveler who comes from afar, offering not just a room, but a lifestyle. ❤️ Ancient Friends: Cai's Homestay (formerly No. 63 Qianshuitou) was built by my grandfather with remittances from his overseas journey to his granduncle, completed in 1930 (Republic of China year 19). The architectural style is a traditional Southern Fujian double-courtyard house with a right wing and a rear section of a Western-style building, making it the first Sino-Western fusion building in Qianshuitou. The rear half of the wing is a Baroque-style Western building, the earliest Western building constructed in the Qianshuitou settlement. ❤️ Present Friends: In 2003 (Republic of China year 92), it was registered as a historical building by the Bureau of Cultural Heritage, Ministry of Culture. It showcases regional characteristics and folk art, holds significance in architectural history, and possesses value and potential for adaptive reuse. ❤️ Educate Friends: Elucidating past history, allowing the present moment to become a new starting point for memories. Continuing cultural consistency and continuity, constructing meaningful places. Cultivating an authentic sense of place, fostering a deep connection between people and the land. ❤️ Friendly Friends: Upholding the philosophy of respecting the old, with an attitude of embracing the new, we integrate creativity that meets contemporary needs into a century-old traditional house.
