Taiwan Plastics Corporation not only initiated the budding of Taiwan's petrochemical industry but also spurred the vigorous development of the plastics processing industry, holding epochal significance for the nation's economic development. Formosa Plastics Group began with the plastics industry and later diversified, gradually expanding into industries such as petrochemicals, fibers, textiles, electronics, transportation, heavy industry, energy, automobiles, and biotechnology. Concurrently, it actively expanded overseas investment, becoming one of the largest private enterprises in Taiwan.
