Mr. Huang Zhengyuan from the Niàosōng area of our township, recognizing that mulberries are a healthy food worth promoting, resolutely decided to cultivate mulberries. The park adopts an ecological co-existence approach, laying down eco-friendly canvas and refraining from spraying chemical pesticides for pest control (manual weeding, insect catching). Natural organic fertilizers are used to promote the growth of fruit trees, ensuring environmental cleanliness and fruit quality. With technical support and guidance from the Miaoli Branch of the Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan, continuous research and development of new varieties (Taiwan native species, new varieties like Black Diamond, etc.) and related products (mulberry enzyme, mulberry fruit acid enzyme, mulberry paste, frozen fresh mulberries, mulberry leaf gummies, mulberry gummies, etc.) have been undertaken. The mulberry orchard is located by the Beigang River in our township, offering a simple rural landscape and pastoral scenery, suitable for outdoor educational activities for schools and interpretation activities for organizations. It also provides introductions to tree species and their functions, sales of seedlings and promotion of planting, and mulberry picking. Everyone is welcome to provide feedback and contact Mr. Huang Zhengyuan for reservations.
