Matsunoya Western-style Japanese Cuisine. Western-style cuisine is probably the most commonly eaten and accepted foreign cuisine by Taiwanese people, but the Japanese cuisine that Taiwanese people are accustomed to seems to have not changed much. Western-style cuisine is probably the most commonly eaten and accepted foreign cuisine by Taiwanese people, but the Japanese cuisine that Taiwanese people are accustomed to seems to have not changed much. It's not easy to dare to make creative Kaiseki cuisine in Taiwan, let alone in Yunlin, which is considered the countryside? Boss Zhang of Matsunoya is passionate about the research and development of Japanese cuisine. Since starting as a small Japanese food stall on Donghua Road in Douliu more than 20 years ago, he has insisted on the path of creative Japanese cuisine. During this time, although he partnered with friends to open a large Japanese banquet restaurant, he eventually returned to his own ultimate creative path. Cuisine is an art, which can be fully appreciated through Matsunoya's dishes. The boss changes the menu every week, innovating dishes based on fresh seasonal and local ingredients, which can be described as a feast for the eyes, aesthetics, and taste. From the sashimi appetizer using high-quality imported Japanese seafood like botan shrimp and red snapper, to the stunning sea urchin tomato jelly, salmon roe romaine rolls with sushi rice using Japanese roasted seaweed, Japanese saury as a fried dish, steamed egg with milk that only uses egg whites to consider the health of people with the three highs, the main course of French lamb chops with foie gras, yam and clam soup, to the dessert salad in a cone made with avocado, mango, sweet potato puree, and sakura shrimp, every dish is pleasing to the eye and exquisitely delicious. Boss Zhang particularly emphasizes that here, "it's about quality, not just quantity," and the portions are definitely sufficient.
