Xiang Yi Rice Noodles. Founded in 1982 as Tian Mao Co., Ltd. Chenglong Factory, it was renamed Xiang Yi Food Co., Ltd. in January 2003, primarily producing rice noodles. The proprietors, Lin Ming-hsing and his wife Ms. Li Qiu-xia, worked hand in hand to establish the rice noodle factory. Ms. Li Qiu-xia, dedicated to agricultural transformation and guided by the Kouhu Township Farmers' Association Rice Marketing Class, continuously researched and developed new products, earning her the prestigious National Top Ten Outstanding Farm Women Award (Shennong Award) in 1994. Due to her first-class production techniques and strict quality control, she gained favor with the Japanese, leading to the development of exports to the Japanese market and creating more employment opportunities for local women. To promote industrial leisure tourism, in conjunction with the Jinhu Leisure Agricultural Area Visitor Center, a series of industrial experience activities have been planned, offering outdoor education activities for primary and secondary schools, such as DIY creative rice noodle dishes.
