When at her lowest point in life, the owner came to the foot of Changbai Mountain to clear her head. It was minus thirty degrees Celsius, and a small stall emitting white smoke caught her eye. Upon approaching, she discovered it was a grilled cold noodle stall. Curious, she bought a portion to try and ended up chatting with the owner. After the owner's guidance, she regained her direction in life. A plate of grilled cold noodles warmed her hands, her stomach, and her heart. Thus, she returned to Taiwan to start a business, bringing this moving experience to all the people of Taiwan. Grilled cold noodles look similar to danbing (egg crepes), but the texture, taste, and portion size are entirely different. The owner specifically imported two production lines from overseas (the only ones in Taiwan) to press over 300 strands of Korean cold noodles into a single sheet. This sheet is then pan-fried, brushed with local Korean ethnic-style sauces and seasonings, and paired with various Korean main dishes personally developed by the owner (Korean fried chicken, Korean fish cakes, German sausages, etc.). Vegetarian options are available. Many foreign cuisines are adapted to suit local tastes, but the owner is very insistent on bringing the authentic local flavors she experienced during her decade-plus of traveling in Korea back to Taiwan, exactly as they are. A serving of chewy Korean grilled cold noodles can keep you full for two meals. In addition to freshly cooked grilled cold noodles, there are also over a dozen flavors of authentic Korean frozen meal kits, a first in Taiwan, that you can take home and simply heat up to enjoy.
