Huang Yixiong has been cultivating this land in Mingfeng Village, Beinan Township, Taitung County for over forty years, growing plums, guavas, sugar apples, and eventually organic coffee using natural farming methods. At the age of sixty-four, one day a friend offered him coffee. The bitter taste made him, who had always drunk tea, wonder if he was asking for trouble. Why do so many people around the world love coffee despite its bitterness? This sparked his curiosity to research, and he decided to dedicate himself to coffee cultivation in his more than six-chia orchard, marking the beginning of "CLC Chulu Organic Coffee Farm." In 2009, CLC Organic Coffee Farm participated in the "Taitung Premium Coffee Bean" evaluation and received a high commercial-grade honor. He never used to drink coffee, but now he is deeply immersed in the world of coffee.
