Zhūlián Bǎohuān is one of Hsinchu's top three bǎohuān restaurants, listed on the '500 Bowls' recommendation list. This extremely established local Hsinchu delicacy has been sold for half a century, located on the bustling Xida Road leading to the Hsinchu Science Park. The first generation was founded by the owner's grandfather. Originally, it had no name, and everyone called it the 'No. 28 Xida Road Bǎohuān'. After gaining fame, it was officially named #ZhūliánBǎohuān. Many friends who love Zhūlián Bǎohuān have followed it since its early days as a food cart, and this unforgettable deliciousness is the reason why gourmets continue to seek it out. The bǎohuān are freshly wrapped and fried, with a chewy, juicy, and fragrant filling. They are deep-fried in low-temperature oil to retain the chewy texture of the bǎohuān skin. The filling is made of red yeast pork mixed with scallions and a hint of wine aroma, paired with a slightly spicy red sauce.
