Known online as a beef noodle restaurant that happens to make dumplings, Lao Yun Ji Dumpling Restaurant is an old-fashioned noodle shop located near Shibei Mountain and three school districts. It primarily sells dumplings, noodles, and various side dishes. The variety of noodles is not extensive, and it's always crowded during meal times. The noodles for the half-tendon, half-beef noodles are flat and wide, with a pleasant noodle aroma. The beef is extremely tender, and even the tendon melts in your mouth, providing a great texture! The braised soup base is rich and mellow. For the braised dishes, they are not listed on the menu; you can order directly from the side dish counter. The braised dishes are cold-braised and have a lighter flavor. If you prefer a stronger taste, you can adjust the seasoning at the sauce station. The braised dishes served are made with genuine ingredients, are generously portioned, and reasonably priced. The aunt's cutting skills are particularly impressive, and the final presentation is truly admirable. The fried pork is a must-order; it's golden brown on the outside, crispy and crunchy when bitten into, making it impossible to stop at just one bite. You definitely need to try it! The dumplings, highly praised by many foodies, come in three flavors: cabbage, chives, and shrimp. The handmade dumpling wrappers are on the thicker side, chewy and firm with a satisfying bite. The filling is abundant. You'll want to order 10 dumplings at a time. If you've ordered noodles and are worried about being too full, you'll need to bring friends along to enjoy them.
