"Kelin Food Store" holds a special place in the memories of Tainan locals, having created many unforgettable products; the "Eight Treasure Pork Bun," first sold thirty-five years ago, is also a signature product of Kelin. The "Eight Treasure Pork Bun" is the masterpiece of the first generation, Mr. Liu. It originated from the New Year's Eve tradition where "Tou Jia Ma" (the owner's wife) would prepare an "Eight Treasure Pork Ball" dish, which could be steamed, boiled, stir-fried, or deep-fried, making it a versatile ingredient. Mr. Liu improved upon the Eight Treasure Pork Ball, making it more flavorful to suit preservation needs, as refrigerators were not common appliances at the time. One bun costs 15 NT dollars, and only 60 are sold per day, with limited supply.
