This area is covered in bamboo forests, and the most thoughtful breakfast for bamboo shoot farmers before they head out to dig for shoots was the "Han Zi Zongzi" that has been fragrant for half a century! Han Zi Zongzi is an authentic southern-style zongzi, with fillings of egg yolk, peanuts, pork chunks, and peanut powder. The zongzi leaves are made from the incredibly fragrant shell ginger leaves, and the glutinous rice is produced in the Changhua area. Zhou Meihui says the soil there is suitable for glutinous rice, making the rice the chewiest and most fragrant. Strict quality control of ingredients from the inside out is the first step to delicious zongzi.
